I bought this netbook about a week ago and fell in love. I say keep this review is in the eyes, this is my first netbook. Although I have always been a computer person, I've never used before, a netbook not as I write, how it compares to things like that.
This was bought to do "light" the everyday things like surfing and basic word processor instead of a "14 HP laptop. His Height and the weight difference is enormous. I can hold my baby sleeps in one hand and bring this thing after another with ease.
The keyboard is 92% can be easily adapted to what I expected. The touchpad (my first experience with Asus) is very accommodating. Hopes that would scroll a scroll bar as my CV, but the method of swiping two fingers Asus gets the job done quite well. In the same note as Asus, you can zoom in and out on web pages and PDF files using the touchpad (iPhone style) is at hand.
So far I have not had any real powerssues with 1GB of RAM, but I'm going to see 2GB only for advice without charging a certain history, which has been sucked from performance applications, such as AVG, etc.
Battery operation is enormous.
Built-in webcam and microphone work with Skype reached.
There is no cooling of life (no fan), who is silent.
Starter Windows 7 is a bit 'bleh. Although you can change the wallpaper with an Asus download without charge changing, adjusting to startup options are limited.
The only option I'm not crazy about the screen - not bad but not great. The account is not declared alive. The high-end netbook apperceive some resolutions are a pittance more now, but I do not expect it deserves the extra cost.
Oh, and like all these computer canicule the time required for all waste that comes preloaded removal is ridiculous. Seem to think ahead.
All in all, I admire with this purchase. The amount seems reasonable, and frankly, my wife is HAPpy so I am. I would just remind you that you are buying a netbook, not a laptop, so do not be surprised by the performance limitations.
UPDATE:
Installing a 2gb stick of ram from Crucial last night without problems. By post from someone else, I have a disability Boot Booster in the BIOS, the operating system started, off, RAM is installed, start the operating system, reboot and turned Boost Boot up, and began operating system. No problem.
